30 before 30
It’s my 29th birthday today! I’m not sure how I feel about this. It’s almost like I’d rather be celebrating 30? 29 feels like an end of an era, 30 feels like a new beginning. Anyways, I’m determined to make the final year of my third decade (what) a great one!
In random order, here are 30 things I want to do before I’m 30:
Read 20 books. I’d love your suggestions!
Implement all of the fantastic interior design advice my friend Heather gave me and make our home a place where I feel happy, peaceful and inspired.
Go to the beach….more than once.
Run another half-marathon.
Start my own magazine. (I’ve been saying I want to do this for the past 3 years).
Learn to cook pasta from scratch.
Take Addison to a Broadway show.
Be the matron of honor in my sister’s wedding. (Hooray!)
Write a fan letter to a celebrity I love.
Send birthday cards to family and friends.
Watch the sunrise over the ocean.
Go to a Notre Dame football game with Alex.
Host a fancy holiday party.
Speak at another event.
Call my grandparents once a month.
Plan a girls’ getaway.
Give more. Time, money and stuff.
Make funny videos with the girls.
Go to a drive-in movie.
Get a crazy (for me) hair style.
Spend more weekends unplugged.
Play sand volleyball.
Attend an art class at the Figge Art Museum.
Find a new show obsession with Alex.
Go to a Bears game with my brothers and Dad.
Go to Chicago with my Mom for a weekend.
Stay up to date with Molly’s Baby Book and Addison’s Big Girl Book. (I love these.)
Learn to play an old piano recital piece by heart again.
- Ride a roller coaster.
